I believe in the strong narrative potential of photography. I love telling stories, playing with feelings - that's why I have always dreamt of becoming a writer - but since I started taking pictures, I let images speak for me rather than words.

I write through light and shadows, trying to find the right balance between my sensitivity and the responsibility to condense a message in a glance, just like when you have the whole meaning of a music theme in a bunch of notes. A good picture can tell a whole story and it's still there when you close your eyes. It lasts throughout time and seduces the curious and critical eyes of its audience.

This is the challenge I pursue in the artistic, editorial, commercial and journalistic fields. I prefer working with a team as I believe that creative collaboration makes the difference in a project. I seek harmony in every step of my work: from the primal concept to the shooting and to the digital - or darkroom - post production. Nowadays I mainly work with digital, strong of my experience with black and white and with small to large formats.
